Clinical Assistant Professor, Division of General Gynaecology and Obstetrics, UBC. Originally from Victoria, Dr. Gustafson completed her undergraduate and Masters degrees in Molecular Genetics at the University of Toronto. She completed medical school at UBC, residency in Ob/Gyn at the University of Alberta, and has been practicing in BC since 2006.  Her main practice interests are in menopause and aging.  Dr. Gustafson has been an active osteoporosis consultant since 2007 and completed my NAMS certification in 2010.

 Primary Care Pharmacist at BioPro Biologics Pharmacy, Care Director at MedInfuse Health, Co-Chair of the Clinical Pharmacist Skills Conference and Clinical Professor, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, UBC. He has a devoted interest in patient-centred care and interprofessional collaboration. Alan has practiced in many areas including hospital pharmacy, pharmaceutical industry, academia, research, community pharmacy and patient advocacy. He works with health professionals in the hospital and community to overcome medication-related issues including offering dermatological and skin health consultations with patients. Working with a variety of stakeholders in health, he strives to develop solutions to close gaps in health care so that patients achieve optimal health outcomes and improved quality of life. As an advocate for patients and patient-centred care, Alan trains and educates healthcare students and patients on many therapeutic topics including dermatology. He has been an invited presenter at regional, national and international meetings as well as authored books and many scientific publications.  

Professor, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, UBC.  James received his undergraduate pharmacy degree at the University of British Columbia in 1982 and received his doctorate in pharmacy (Pharm.D.) in 1986 from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.

He has had extensive experience, both locally and internationally, talking to health professionals and consumers about the rational use of medication, and has presented over 500 seminars on drug therapy over the last 30 years.

He focuses on shared decision-making using evidence based information and rational therapeutic principles and he is also the co-host of a very popular weekly podcast called the Best Science (BS) Medicine podcast.

 Store Operator and Pharmacy Manager of Rage’s Pharmacy in Penticton, BC (a part of Neighbourly Pharmacy) is a community pharmacist with a passion for patient-focused care.  Melissa has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from UBC and has been practicing as a community pharmacist for more than 10 years. Over the years Melissa established herself as a community clinical services specialist gaining the trust of her patients, peers, and other allied health providers.  Practicing pharmacy to its full scope of practice and ongoing learning drives Melissa.  When she’s not busy at the pharmacy, Melissa is busy at home helping her husband raise 2 rambunctious little boys.

Medical Director, Fraser Street Medical and Clinical Professor, Department of Family Medicine, UBC

Dr. Ngui is a seasoned family physician with over two decades of experience, specializing in team-based community care. He serves as the Medical Director at Fraser Street Medical in Vancouver, BC, where he focuses on health promotion, chronic disease prevention, and enhancing primary care access. Dr. Ngui is also a clinical professor at UBC, actively involved in teaching and developing continuing medical education programs at both local and national levels. 

 Dr. Bella Wu is a clinical instructor at UBC's Division of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and holds active staff positions at Vancouver General Hospital, UBC Hospital, and Richmond Hospital. Specializing in head and neck surgery, Dr. Wu is dedicated to providing comprehensive care within the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority. She has a strong academic background, including a Master of Science in Health Research Methodology, and is actively involved in research, teaching, and the development of Canadian clinical practice guidelines.
